Assistant Cook
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef Manager with daily cooking duties.
- Provide high-quality and passionate catering service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Serve customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent presentation and portion control.
- Ensure counters, seating areas, and kitchen are kept clean at all times.
- Deliver a quality hospitality service.
- Complete cleaning rotas/dishwasher duties as required.
- Help in the preparation of school lunches.
- Maintain correct food storage and holding temperatures.
- Act within Health and Safety at Work regulations.
- Promote excellent customer service.
- Carry out other reasonably comparable duties.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Skills and Expertise
- Passionate about food, people, and great service.
- Experience in catering or education sector (preferred).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and hygiene.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness for further development through Catering by Churchills training (preferred).
- Respectful of equal opportunities.
- DBS Clearance (required).
