Assistant Buyer – Staffordshire
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing materials through preferred suppliers, ensuring profits are maximised.
- Collating documentation, issuing material tenders and evaluating supplier quotations.
- Handling material orders, adhering to agreed timescales in line with site programmes and specification.
- Managing invoicing and addressing any queries promptly.
- Generating monthly spend reports.
- Assisting with site call-offs as required.
Skills and Expertise
- Effective communication with good negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Experience in procurement of building and construction materials (advantageous).
