Pharmacist – Critical Care and Theatres – Bedford
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on clinical pharmacy services for critical care, recovery units, and operating theatres.
- Contribute to the running of the clinical pharmacy service, including line management and training.
- Deliver defined service KPIs and work closely with other Lead/Specialist Pharmacists.
- Deliver specialist pharmaceutical care, including non-medical prescribing (where applicable).
- Support the Clinical Service Line and Pharmacy department in risk management, financial management, and clinical governance.
- Lead and develop clinical pharmacy audit and practice research in critical care.
- Undertake clinical supervision of junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and pre-registration pharmacists.
- Act as a professional role model and source of specialist advice.
- Work with, supervise, and be a role model for other pharmacists to lead, plan, and develop advanced specialist clinical pharmacy services, consistent with local and national policies.

- Experience in a variety of clinical specialties, including critical care.

- Ability to engage, motivate, and collaborate with medical, nursing, pharmacy, and General Manager colleagues.
- Experience with electronic prescribing (inpatient).
- Understanding of risk management and compliance with clinical guidance.
- Knowledge of local and national policies and best practices.
- Proven leadership and development skills for clinical pharmacy services.
