Activities Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping and engaging residents to socialize within the home.
  • Providing a variety of activities catering to all tastes, abilities, and cultures.
  • Planning and initiating rolling/individual programmes.
  • Encouraging residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies and try new activities.
  • Supporting and encouraging colleagues, relatives, and friends to participate in activities with residents.
  • Willingly accompanying residents to offsite activities.
  • Assisting with innovative fundraising initiatives and budgeting for entertainment, materials, and outings.
  • Creating a supportive, caring, and kind environment.
  • Ensuring a secure and safe atmosphere for residents.

Skills and Expertise

  • Experience working with elderly residents.
  • Experience in a similar activities role.
  • Caring nature and ability to provide a personalized approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • Ability to work under pressure without negatively impacting others.
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging personality.
  • Outgoing and infectious personality.
  • Respectful and considerate towards others.
  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents.
