Nursery Room Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Enhance the overall daily needs of children, including physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and child learning journals with high-quality details.
  • Promote respect and credibility by leading with impartiality and consistency as a role model.
  • Assist with embedding a key person approach to enable secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on the EyMan system and on file.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS statutory framework are met.

Skills and Expertise

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential
  • Over 1 years experience working in Early Years – Essential
  • Over 6 months experience in a senior position – Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for Good or Outstanding rating – Desirable
  • Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements – Essential
  • Fluent written and spoken English – Essential
