Life Insurance Sales Consultant – Cheshire
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering good customer outcomes aligned with Consumer Duty.
- Maximising lead potential and overcoming objections.
- Conducting thorough fact-finding to present the correct insurance product.
- Offering a range of suitable insurance products based on client needs and budget.
- Maintaining high compliance standards.
- Managing a business pipeline effectively.
- Communicating clearly and precisely with customers.
- Achieving targets set by the line manager.
- Using questioning and listening skills to understand customer needs.
- Using provided calling technology with a minimum of 4 hours daily call requirement.
- Representing the business politely and respectfully.
- Working towards personal goals and ambitions.
- Carrying out other responsibilities as required by management.
- Maintaining punctuality and respect for colleagues.

- Basic IT skills.
- Sales process knowledge.
- Insurance knowledge (desirable).

- Excellent written, verbal & listening communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Experience influencing and persuading to successfully and compliantly handle objectives.
- Proven ability to conduct detailed fact-finding to ensure customer needs are fully established and met.
- Demonstrable success in closing sales whilst adhering to a sales process.
- Accuracy & attention to detail.
- Ability to summarise and paraphrase information for customers (desirable).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, targeted and regulated telephone sales environment (essential).
- Experience in a micro-managed, buzzing and structured sales environment (essential).
- Team player with the ability to achieve individual success.
- Demonstrable success in high-volume telephone sales following a structured sales script.
- Proven experience of consultative sales processes in a B2C telephone environment.
- Insurance or financial service sales (desirable).
- Cold calling (desirable).
- Mentoring sales teams (desirable).
