Speech and Language Therapist
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat disorders of communication and swallowing in adult acquired neurology.
- Manage a personal caseload of adult clients and deliver SLT services individually.
- Develop professional knowledge and skills, increasing clinical competence.
- Complete competences for newly qualified therapists (RCSLT).
- Provide training on acquired disorders of communication/swallowing to others (AHPs, carers, etc).
Skills and Expertise
- Strong clinical skills in adult acquired neurology.
- Experience with assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders.
- Ability to develop professional knowledge and skills.
- Competence in completing newly qualified therapist requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
