Key Responsibilities

• Experienced with food preparation and catering
• Adherence to Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations
• Monitoring and maintaining kitchen cleaning schedules
• Ensuring all kitchen areas are immaculately clean
• Washing up crockery and utensils when required
• Assisting chefs with meal plating and food trolley preparation
• Keeping all preparation areas clean and tidy
• Acting as a link between the main kitchen and residents

Skills and Expertise

• Ability to manage pressure and prioritize tasks
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Genuine interest in care home environment
• Previous care home experience (desirable, not essential)
• Committed and organized approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work shifts
