Clinical Lead Nurse – SW London
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Home Manager and/or Deputy Manager with administrative and nursing/care tasks
- Maintaining overall nursing/care management and care governance in the absence of the Home manager, including working as Nurse in charge
- Medication administration and Care plan quality
- Providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to residents
- Ensuring resident safety and implementing safeguarding policies
- Team management and shift planning
- Coaching, training, and mentoring
- Infection prevention and control
- Liaising with General Practitioners and Multi-Disciplinary Teams
- Assisting the Home Manager with care home inspections and visits
- Upholding clinical governance standards and leading clinical governance meetings
Skills and Expertise
- Compassionate and dedicated
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive learning and development of clinical skills
- Leadership skills in supervising teams (ideally in care home settings)
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, DoLs, and the Mental Capacity Act
- Understanding of clinical policy frameworks
- Ability to perform physical tasks (assisting residents with mobility)
- Flexibility to work various shifts and some bank holidays
- Nursing qualification recognised by UK NMC
- Valid UK NMC PIN and registration as RGN/RNLD/RMN
- Experience leading clinical/care teams and managing team performance
