Management Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly accounts for approximately 80 homes and cost centres.
- Provide commercial and operational support through insightful analysis, identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Reconcile balance sheets.
- Generate Landlord & CQC reports in line with group commitments for monthly management information.
- Analyse financial information (management accounts, occupancy reports, agency) to identify potential improvement areas.
- Train and develop Assistant Accountants (2) through regular one-on-one sessions and feedback.
- Liaise with Regional Directors, providing analysis of management accounts and areas of focus.
- Support Operations and Marketing teams by attending meetings with insightful analysis to drive business improvements.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasts.
- Prepare parts of the monthly board pack, explaining performance trends and direction of travel for costs, income, and KPIs.
Skills and Expertise
- CIMA, ACA, or ACCA Qualified (or part-qualified with relevant skills).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Knowledge of management accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in record management and data security.
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Understanding of company mission, brand values, policies, and procedures.
- Strong training and development skills.
