Teaching Care Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one personal support for pupils with additional needs.
- Deliver special educational and/or medical support to ensure successful learning engagement and access.
- Maintain professional records and appropriate notes for individual pupils.
Skills and Expertise
- Good written and numeracy skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Ability to support medical and personal care needs
- Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice
- Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to build trust with pupils and their parents/carers
- Experience supporting and facilitating pupils’ learning and progress
- Basic technology skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team
