Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers to support children in reception classes (and potentially other year groups)
• Provide positive behaviour management and support children’s social and emotional needs
• Support children’s academic achievement, including creative learning tailored to individual needs
• Nurture children’s wellbeing and build on their strengths
• Support children individually, in groups, and within a whole class setting
• Demonstrate an awareness of child development
• Work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff

Skills and Expertise

• Experience working with children (individual or in a classroom environment)
• Proven ability to support children’s development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to implement positive behaviour management strategies
• Commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment
