Business Development Manager – Tyne and Wear
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development activities to build partnerships for new opportunities.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of business development strategies and plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, business partners, and other related organizations.
- Monitor and analyse the marketplace.
- Participate in sales strategies and policies.
- Generate and facilitate the total solution of business development and continuous growth.
- Meet customer needs and assist the business in achieving lending commitments.
- Ensure business goals are met in a manner consistent with company values.
- Handle concerns and complaints at first point of contact.
- Ensure delivery of good customer outcomes.
- Formulate and drive a business plan to achieve KPIs.
- Understand and adhere to relevant laws, conflicts of interest, and anti-money laundering guidelines.
- Complete all control tasks in a timely manner.
- Operate within the training and competence scheme.
- Provide accurate, full, and relevant information to customers.
- Respond and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Deliver effective performance within challenging timelines.
- Liaise with colleagues to share best practice.
- Flex capacity between teams as required.
- Build a strong internal and external network of stakeholders.
- Proactively promote a culture where risk is managed effectively.
Skills and Expertise
- Understanding of audit and risk requirements (internal and external).
- Experience of meeting and exceeding customer needs.
- Relevant professional qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience delivering presentations to customers.
- Effective relationship management, diary management, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of technology platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to network effectively.
Mandatory Qualification: Diploma in Lending Skills Professional Qualification (or equivalent). If not held, there is a requirement to study for and complete the qualification within 18 months of enrolment.
