Key Responsibilities

• Supporting class teachers within the classroom.
• Ensuring correct classroom behaviour.
• Working with small groups and in 1:1 interventions.
• Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Planning and running interventions for specific groups of children.
• Demonstrating a sound understanding of the curriculum.
• Implementing strategies to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Skills and Expertise

• Relevant degree or HLTA qualification.
• 1 year’s experience in an education setting.
• Extensive Special Educational Needs (SEN) knowledge.
• Experience working one-to-one with pupils.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Ability to build rapport with children quickly.
