SEMH Physical Education Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Promote the importance of physical activity, teamwork, and personal development through sport and fitness.
- Use innovative approaches to engage students and build their confidence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage behavior effectively, encouraging positive engagement in all aspects of school life.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives aimed at improving the well-being and outcomes of students with SEN and SEMH needs.
Skills and Expertise
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs or similar challenges.
- Passion for supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving success.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
- Knowledge of strategies for managing challenging behavior and promoting positive mental health.
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Salary: 31,650 – 45,646 per year + SEN Allowance
- Temporary position, possible permanent role
