Key Responsibilities

• Act as an autonomous practitioner, maintaining close working relationships with Lead Sonographer, Service Manager, and key referring Clinicians to deliver a high-quality ultrasound service.
• Support the effective planning, development, organization, and delivery of ultrasound and sub-specialty training for sonographers and medical staff, collaborating with the Lead Sonographer and Lead Radiologist.
• Provide highly specialist and expert clinical ultrasound knowledge, serving as a clinical resource in the ultrasound department.
• Partake in undergraduate and postgraduate ultrasound training across all grades, including supervising, motivating, and developing other staff as appropriate.
• Provide specialist input into the Trusts clinical governance agenda, influencing patient care delivery, as appropriate, working at any required site.

Skills and Expertise

• Experienced MSK/Obstetrics and Gynaecology Sonographer.
• Proven ability to deliver effective ultrasound services.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
