Paediatric Doctor – Scarborough Hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day care of all medical admissions to the childrens ward.
- Provision of shared care for surgical, orthopaedic, and dental patients on the paediatric ward.
- Ward rounds on general paediatric wards and neonatal unit.
- Support to junior colleagues on newborn examinations, resuscitation, and neonatal care.
- Outpatient sessions with Paediatric Consultants.
- Compliance with GMC requirements for doctors’ duties.
- Maintenance of patient confidentiality.
- Completion of duties as defined in the job description.
- Responsible and managerial use of Trust resources.
- Professional accountability to the Medical Director.
- Attendance at Trust Corporate Induction.
- Participation in Trust’s statutory and mandatory training.
- Clinical management of in and outpatients.
- Compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Observation of Trust intellectual property rights.
