Practice Development Therapist – London
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical education and direction for qualified and non-qualified staff, alongside students on placement.
- Working with key stakeholders (OT, PT, SLT, Dietetics) to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
- Supporting and developing skills, expertise, and knowledge of therapists to effectively manage patient care.
- Clinical work within professional competency.
- Acting as an expert practitioner and role model for colleagues.
- Demonstrating specialist clinical knowledge and skills at the patient’s bedside.
- Setting, monitoring, and maintaining excellent standards of therapy care.
- Maintaining contact with patients, relatives, and carers, ensuring dignity and privacy.
- Maintaining timely and accurate records, respecting confidentiality.
- Communicating with and assisting multidisciplinary team members to promote excellent care.
- Monitoring and auditing the quality of care (risk management, incident reporting, complaints, research, clinical audit).
- Scrutinizing, questioning, evaluating, and reacting to complex situations (patient, relative, staff management).
