Cancer and Domestic Abuse Trainer – Bristol
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and delivery of SWAG Cancer and DA Workforce Training project.
- Deliver specialist Cancer and Domestic Abuse training to the Cancer workforce across SWAG.
- Work closely with key partners within SWAG Acute providers.
- Identify resources required for assigned work.
- Deliver/facilitate training to small and large groups.
- Coordinate learning events and maintain training calendar.
- Evaluate courses and monitor quality outcomes.
- Work with Learning Management System.
- Manage, develop, and deliver domestic abuse training.
- Manage and monitor mandatory training compliance.
- Work in a large, complex multi-site organisation.
- Analyse training needs (individual and larger scale).
- Communicate and build relationships with learners and stakeholders.
- Write clear communications (emails, presentations, resources, newsletters).
- Prepare and deliver presentations on cancer and DA.
- Demonstrate and embed organizational values.
- Provide feedback on programmes and learning participation.
- Communicate with Cancer Alliance partners and NHS bodies.
- Facilitate small and large group cancer and DA training events.
- Use questioning and listening behaviours to encourage participation.
- Motivate and inspire employees.
Skills and Expertise
- Existing expertise in cancer and domestic abuse.
- Proven design and facilitation skills.
- Passion for learning and helping others develop.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience in delivering non-clinical development programmes.
- Knowledge of innovative methods of education (classroom, digital, work-based).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with a diverse group of learners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
