Senior Occupational Therapist Rotation Programme
Key Responsibilities
- Completing skilled assessments and clinical reasoning
- Providing treatment and promoting recovery
- Risk assessing and problem-solving for complex discharges
- Participating or leading on service review
- Supporting service development and meeting clinical demands
- Supervising Band 5 and assistant staff
- Deputizing for clinical team leads
Skills and Expertise
- Clinical experience with adults (especially older people with complex presentations)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with external agencies
- Understanding of developing role of Occupational Therapy in integrated therapy services
- Ability to support leadership of a team
- Experience in areas such as Major Trauma, First Response, A&E, Stroke pathway, Reablement, Complex Rehabilitation, Critical care, General acute inpatients, Outpatients
- Understanding and supporting leadership of innovative, responsive services.
