Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the team in the day-to-day running of the canteen and kitchen.
- Planning and implementing new procedures and concepts.
- Ensuring food quality is of the highest standard.
- Training and supervising new staff in safe food preparation.
- Adhering to HACCP regulations and health procedures.
- Maintaining par stock levels.
- Cross-checking deliveries with purchase orders, counting/weighing stock, and cross-checking with delivery notes.
- Ensuring proper storage of deliveries.
- Preparing and portioning dishes according to recipe cards.
- Participating in menu formulation and compilation.
- Ensuring equipment cleaning and servicing, reporting any breakages.
- Maintaining personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- Undertaking relevant training.
Skills and Expertise
- NVQ level 2 culinary or equivalent
- Knowledge of health and safety
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment
- Basic DBS Required
Job Facilities/Benefits
- 12.50 per hour
- Full-time 35 hours per week
- Monday Friday, 7.30am 3pm
