Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and excel creating amazing value everyday!
  • Vital link between the Store Manager and store team, shaping experiences for both team and customers.
  • Drive sales and use creative flair in merchandising on and off-plan to showcase value on GM and FMCG products.
  • Create an environment embodying core values: love our customers, care for our colleagues, and protect the pounds (and euros).
  • Leading daily huddles to ensure commercial objectives (sales, service, and shrink) are communicated and achieved.
  • Ensure all products are priced, merchandised, and maintained for smooth store operations.
  • Managing new colleague inductions and collaborating with supervisors to drive training and development.
  • Delivering excellent customer service consistently to the highest standards.
  • Going above and beyond for customers (greeting, assisting, checking out) – keeping the ‘two is a queue’ initiative in mind.
  • Create a safe environment for the team and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Support the team around you alongside the Store Manager.

Skills and Expertise

  • Retail management experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Sales drive and excellent customer service skills.
  • Merchandising and visual presentation knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and inventory.
  • Experience with sales reporting & analysis.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff.
