What skills and experience we’re looking for

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

A good standard of written and numeracy skills

Good communication skills both oral and written

Ability to use basic technology to support the role

Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders

Ability to work constructively as part of a team

Desirable:

Completion of DfES Teacher Assistant Induction Programme, or equivalent

Working with or caring for children of relevant age

Understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these

Emergency First Aid or First aid at work qualification

Previous experience of working with young people preferably in a school setting

With 228 pupils aged between 5 and 11, Crookesbroom is a busy and vibrant place. We serve the villages of Hatfield, Stainforth and Dunsville. We are a small academy, and we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential. We place great importance on the development of each and every child both academically and socially and emotionally. We aim to provide a wide range of learning experiences both within the classroom and beyond which will promote a life-long love of learning and enable our children to become independent, forward thinking and socially responsible citizens of the future.
