Senior Residential Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Looking after the different needs of residents to enable quality, person-centred care and support.
  • Leading a team of care staff, including training, supervisions, and delegating duties on shift.
  • Administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
  • Liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams, and resident family members.
  • Respecting the dignity and preferences of residents and creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

Skills and Expertise

  • NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Previous experience in a residential care setting
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents
  • Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to individualised care and support
