We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Newham Hospital to lead in the acute assessment of patients admitted into the Emergency Department, as well as our Acute Assessment Unit and our Older Persons Wards. There is much opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills.

You will play a major and specialist role in the advanced assessment, treatment, clinical management and discharge planning of patients attending the Emergency Department (ED), as well as the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) and the Older Persons Service (OPS) wards in determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits, treatment programs, pathway management and discharge planning. You will also be supporting the development of this area of service and shaping how therapy can best help patients in the Emergency Department setting and contributing to hospital flow.
