East Midlands Councils/East Midlands Jobs
Come and join our award-winning team members.
We are a long-term generic adult team, working with people from 18 (or approaching 18) and their carers. The people we work with have social care needs resulting from a range of disabilities including learning disability, autism, physical disability, and dementia. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The team is busy yet supportive with a strong team ethos based on traditional social work values with a passion for the wellbeing of workers. The social worker joining us will need the ability to prioritise competing demands, be resilient and manage their time effectively. The role includes assessing care needs and working with people and their support networks to create support plans. Using person centred, strengths-based approaches we support people to identify and achieve their goals with a home first approach. They will also have knowledge and experience of making safeguarding personal.
The successful candidate will be given opportunity for daily support and peer group discussion and will be provided with regular professional supervision where you will be supported to achieve best practice. We operate a ‘champion’ role offering the opportunity to develop and share your knowledge and practice interests and weekly CPD sessions.
