Picture Framer Essex

We are looking to expand our framing team, with multiple junior positions available. We are a friendly, dedicated and ambitious company, supplying artists, galleries, publishers and museums with framing solutions.

We produce many different types of frames from conservation standard, bespoke framing, shirt framing, photography framing, contract framing and canvas stretching.
The roles are based at our workshop in South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, CM3.

Experience & Skills:

No experience required; training provided. (But any experience within a similar field is highly desirable).
A willingness to learn and develop new skillsets with a proactive attitude.
Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work.
Communicate clearly and professionally at all times (English speaking required).
Be a hard-working, team player.
Work efficiently at speed with your hands in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

You will be trained in multiple aspects of the art of picture framing, this includes:
Measuring, cutting and assembling materials required for framing.
Assisting Picture Framing staff with order production.
Organising stock in the warehouse.
Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Machinery and tools you will be trained on include:

Morso
Circular saw-cutting machines
Underpinners, various models
Point drivers
Sheet material cutting machines
CNC mount cutting machines

Job Details:

Job Type: Full-Time, permanent position.
Days: Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm
Pay: £13.10 per hour / £25k
