Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client a leading food manufacturer in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Newport, Shropshire.
For the successful Maintenance Engineer our client is offering
• £25- £27 per hour DOE
• Working Sunday’s & Monday’s 6PM-6AM
• Temporary contract, initially a few months work
• Free Parking
The Role – Maintenance Engineer
• Carry out Planned and Preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
• To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical /Electrical equipment
• Carry out autonomous breakdown tasks and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly, recording work carried out in appropriate documentation / data base (CMMS).
• To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.
• Reduce production waste.
• Any other duties as per business needs
What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer
• Previous experience in a similar role in a maintenance environment – ESSENTIAL
• Mechanically biased- ESSENTIAL
• Must be able to attend an induction this week and start on Sunday the 24th of November- ESSENTIAL
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC / HNC Or equivalent in either Mechanical or electrical disciplines or Degree trained- ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience within the food manufacturing or food packaging industry – DESIRED
• Due to the location of the site you MUST have your own transport.
