Optometrist Job Opportunity in Brighton
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering first-class eye examinations, contact lens care, and other eyecare services.
- Conducting 30-60 minute appointments.
- Utilizing OCT and Optomap technology.
- Providing personalized and empathetic eye care to each patient.
- Explaining examination procedures clearly to patients.
- Discussing vision correction and eye health options.
- Handing over patients to the appropriate colleague for continued care, including referrals.
- Promoting contact lenses and providing fittings and aftercare.
- Referencing patients for contact lens wear when appropriate.
- Ensuring support staff are trained and updated on latest practices.
- Assisting the Practice Manager in improving practice operations and achieving customer satisfaction and sales goals.
- Managing practice administration, including NHS forms and records.
- Participating in group discussions to enhance eyecare service delivery.
Skills and Expertise
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Clinically focused approach
- Additional specialities or interests desirable
- Interest in further training
- Enthusiastic
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Salary between 45,000 and 55,000 (DOE)
- 10% performance-related bonus scheme
