Little Jannah Day care Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Assistant/Practitioner who is enthusiastic and a passionate team player. Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is registered for 22 children per a day. Little Jannah Day care Nursery is currently Ofsted graded “Good” with excellent transportation links.
The successful candidate will have robust knowledge of the EYFS, strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in an Ofsted graded “Good” or
“Outstanding” setting.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years considerable, proven experience of working within a childcare setting
• Completion of recognised full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce or NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
• Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (Group 2) within last 3 years – (where not holding Safeguarding Designated Officer role.)
• Health & Safety certificate (Not Mandatory)
• First Aid certificate (Not Mandatory)
• Professional, enthusiastic and hard working
• An equivalent or higher management qualification and/or a further qualification in Childcare
Main responsibilities:
• To ensure the Setting maintains a high standard of physical and emotional care.
• To lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all times.
• To assist the manager in setting and implementing objectives and policy for the Setting.
• To assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record child development.
• To assist the manager in setting and implementing objectives and policy for the Setting.
• To be aware of safeguarding procedure

The nursery is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 6:00pm – 50 weeks per year.
