Caretaker Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the school site.
- Ensuring buildings and grounds are maintained and cleaned to a high standard.
- Playing an important part in the smooth running of the school.
- Working flexibly to meet school needs, combining planned and regular tasks with daily needs and emergencies.
- Supervising and liaising with contract cleaner.
- Managing time effectively and working independently.
- Maintaining school to high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness.
- Performing occasional painting, maintenance, repairs, and small-scale improvements.
- Maintaining paperwork for annual, monthly, and weekly compliance checks.
- Acting as principle key holder and responding to emergencies.
- Ensuring school premises security and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinating and supervising contractors on site.
