Functional Assessor Role – Reading
Key Responsibilities
- Assess individuals and their impact on work life due to disabilities or conditions.
- Gather medical history and conduct physical examinations.
- Create concise and accurate reports for DWP regarding benefit eligibility.
- Meet with individuals face-to-face and virtually through phone/video calls.
- Maintain sensitivity, compassion, and uphold best practice standards during assessments.
Skills and Expertise
- NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with 12+ months post-registration experience.
- Experience working with adults in various clinical environments (Surgical, Medical, A&E, Community, Practice).
- NMC registration with Continuous Professional Development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Negotiation and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in using IT and various software.
- Self-awareness, focused on professional development.
- Integrity and customer confidentiality.
- Customer service oriented with empathy, respect and sensitivity.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Competitive salary: 37,500 – 43,000 + 2,000 after one year + 10% ongoing bonus potential.
- Regular hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) with part-time options available.
