Functional Assessor
Key Responsibilities
- Assess individuals and how disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
- Gather medical history and perform physical examinations.
- Produce concise and accurate reports for the DWP.
- Meet people face-to-face, via telephone/video.
- Uphold best practice standards in assessment.
Skills and Expertise
- NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse.
- Minimum of 12 months broad-based post-registration experience (last 5 years).
- Experience working with adults in various clinical situations (Surgical, Medical, A&E, Community, Practice Nursing).
- NMC-registered with Continuous Professional Development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Negotiation and adaptability.
- IT skills and software experience.
- Self-awareness and focus on professional development.
- Integrity and customer confidentiality.
- Empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork and support for the multi-disciplinary team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Competitive salary (37,500 – 43,000 + 2,000 after one year + ongoing bonus up to 10%).
- 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday; Part-time available.
