Functional Assessor – Occupational Therapist

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals and how disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
  • Collect medical history and perform physical examinations.
  • Produce concise and accurate reports for the DWP.
  • Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video.
  • Uphold best practice standards during assessments.

Skills and Expertise

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with 12+ months post-registration experience.
  • Continuous Professional Development demonstrated on CV.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, negotiation abilities.
  • IT skills and software experience.
  • Self-aware with a focus on professional development.
  • Integrity, customer confidentiality, and empathy.
  • Quality customer service skills, demonstrating respect and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Reliable and efficient team member, supporting the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Job Facilities/Benefits

  • Competitive salary: 37,500 – 43,000 + 2,000 after one year + bonus up to 10%.
  • 9-5 hours, Monday-Friday, part-time available.
  • Hybrid working.
  • 1,000 after 6 months & 1,000 after 12 months (if approved).
