Primary Teaching Assistant – Haywards Heath

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students’ learning.
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students needing additional help.
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with classroom management and behavior support.
• Preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources.
• Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
• Participating in school activities, events, and parent meetings as needed.

Skills and Expertise

• Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (advantageous but not essential).
