SEMH Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Providing vital support to children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Working closely with teachers to implement positive behavior strategies and create a safe learning environment.
- Helping students build resilience and manage their emotions, behaviors, and social skills.
- Demonstrating empathy, understanding, and a positive attitude to build strong relationships with students.
Skills and Expertise
- Passion for making a difference and helping children reach their full potential.
- Resilience and patience in supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with diverse needs.
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioral challenges (ideally in a school setting).
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding children’s well-being and safety.
