Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.
- Schedule weekly meal menus, considering individual dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with the Home Manager to manage stock ordering and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure meal plans align with individual support plans and risk assessments.
- Maintain quality assurance systems within the kitchen.
- Supervise other kitchen team members.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and contamination prevention.
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in cooking
- NVQ Level 2 in catering and hospitality
- 2+ years experience in a catering environment
- 1+ years experience managing a kitchen team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Facilities/Benefits
- 14.00 per hour salary
- 30 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks)
- Monday – Sunday, 7am-5pm (alternate weekends), 3 shifts per week
